Tools Strategy Revealed!

WARNING: This blog entry was imported from my old blog on (which used different blogging software), so formatting and links may not be correct.

I didn't know this stuff was public information. But I guess it is now... Bob Brewin was interviewed by Gregg Sporar with a series of specific questions about our strategy. Check it out!

For example, we will be open sourcing the Creator technology! (Q18) And, you'll get the Creator and Enterprise functionality as IDE plugins so you don't need to run multiple IDEs! (Q7, Q8) Bob also explains why we don't just roll over and yield the field to Eclipse (Q21).

Exciting times ahead!

  1. It's great knowing that we're going to have in the same IDE both technologies. However, as the things go on, I'd like to know how far or close we are to develop and deploy successfully, by using Creator and Enterprise, a solution like the one is shown by NexaWeb:

  2. I'm not familiar with that web site, but I imagine it will take additional JSF components to do it - a graph component, etc. You also have to have some custom CSS to do all the positioning just right to achieve the layout they have chosen.
